Asia: land of mystery to many western cultures.  We are attempting to build a site through file and information sharing through which Europeans and North Americans can learn more about the beauty, politics, people and mystery of the Asian world.  Join me and experience the wonderful world of Asia.

Why:

Asian people are often misunderstood.  With more interactions between cultures, I see this changing as Asian people everywhere are being accepted and embraced for what they bring to society.  I am hoping that you will join me and post your stories, pictures, and knowledge of the Asian people on this site to educate the world to enhance this acceptance.

I became interested many years ago.  I was attracted to a young lady of which race she belonged to was unknown. I had no idea.  I thought perhaps she was Phillipine or even Spanish. It turns out she was Vietnamese, but over time I have come to see that she does not a "typical" Vietnamese look. 

I have become quite knowledgeable in distinguishing Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese by sight alone. Of course this is not 100% but in general it is possible, same as distinguishing Italian, Irish, and German.  Often you can make an educated guess and find some success.
